# Staging Environment (NAS)

> Staging deployment on the UGreen NAS via Tailscale

Staging runs on a UGreen NAS at `100.65.168.27:8080` via Tailscale. Config: `config/deploy.staging.yml`.

* **SSH user:** `hakon` (key-based auth)
* **Proxy ports:** 8080 (HTTP), 8443 (HTTPS) — avoids nginx on 80/443
* **Storage:** `/volume1/docker/votering/` bind-mounted to `/rails/storage`
* **Registry:** local registry at `localhost:5555`
* **Rails env:** `staging` (dedicated environment — production-like with debug logging and Mailtrap email)

First-time setup requires `kamal setup` followed by `kamal app exec "bin/rails db:prepare"`.

Staging has its own Rails environment (`config/environments/staging.rb`) — production-like but with debug logging, deprecation reporting, Mailtrap sandbox email, and `db:seed` support.
